The Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET), through their two-year Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) contract through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, has created a myth-busting strategy guide to help improve fall injuries in hospitals. Notably, as researched by HELP's own Dr. Sharon K. Inouye, delirium is the leading contributor to hospital falls, and identification of these and other risk factors can help hospital staff implement appropriate interventions for at-risk patients.
